CHARLES DAHLY DIES AT 21 YEARS

Funeral Services Held Here Wednesday With Burial at Casey

Charles L. Dahly, a resident of Madison county for the past 12 years died Sunday, Oct. 4 at the Lutheran hospital in Des Moines. He had been in delicate health for several years. He became seriously ill Sept. 30, and was brought to the Memorial hospital in Winterset. The next day he was taken to Des Moines where his death occurred three days later.

When he became seriously ill last week, he was thought to have developed polio but after his death an autopsy showed that the illness and death resulted from a brain abscess.

The young man was 21 years of age at his death. He was a native of Bellville, Kan., where he was born Aug. 22, 1932, a son of Charles L. and Doris Dahly. His father preceded him in death.

Surviving are his mother, now Mrs. Doris Jones and his stepfather, Lisle Jones of near Winterset; a brother, Frank Dahly; a half-brother, Gilbert Egger of Winterset; and two grandparents.

Funeral services were held this Wednesday at 2 p.m. from the Richards funeral home here conducted by the Rev. H. D. Rosenberger, pastor of the Foursquare church. Burial was made at Casey.
