AGNES CRUMBAKER DIES AT 95 YEARS

Pioneer Resident Was Born in Madison County in 1858

Mrs. Agnes Crumbaker one of the oldest residents of Madison county, died Wednesday, May 26, at Memorial hospital in Winterset. She had been a patient there since May 16.

Mrs. Crumbaker was 95 years of age at her death. She was born Aug. 22, 1858 in Madison county. She was the former Agnes Walker, one of seven children born to Ira and Lucy Walker.

With the exception of six years in Des Moines and seven years at Lorimor, her entire life was spent in Madison county. She was married March 14, 1877 to John W. Crumbaker, who preceded her in death on Nov. 30, 1920. They were parents of two daughters, now Mrs. Fay Cochran of Long Beach, Calif., and Mrs. Mabel Daniels of Dubuque.

Mrs. Crumbaker had been a resident of Winterset the last 32 years. She had been a member of the Methodist church for more than 60 years.

In addition to her two daughters, she leaves six grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.

Funeral services were held Friday afternoon from the Richards Funeral home, conducted by the Rev. Glenn Parrott, pastor of the Winterset Methodist church. Burial was made in the Lorimor cemetery.
