SERVICES FRIDAY FOR MRS. MARGARET COOPER

Funeral services for Mrs. Margaret D. Cooper of Winterset, who died here June 8 at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Margaret Hartman, were held last Friday from the Anderson Funeral home in Winterset. The Rev. Warren Hile, pastor of the Winterset Church of Christ officiated. Burial was made in the Union Chapel Cemetery.

Mrs. Cooper, a life-long resident of Madison county, had been in failing health for several years. She was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Thornburg, and was born here in 1867. She was 85 years of age at her death.

She was married in 1899 to Joseph Cooper. They were parents of 10 children. The husband and two children preceded her in death.

The surviving children are: Mrs. Stella Lane, Mrs. Opal Hartman, Charlie, Roy and George Cooper, all of Winterset, Mrs. Helen Faux and Henry Cooper of St. Charles, and Mrs. Gertrude Kline of Hiawatha, Kan. She also leaves 47 grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; two brothers, Clarence and William Thornburg of Winterset; and two sisters, Mrs. Ada Hill of Winterset and Mrs. Mary Tincher of Hutchinson, Kan.
