Page 3MRS. HARRIETT BARROW DIES IN CALIFORNIA
Mrs. Harriett E. Barrow, a resident of Winterset and Madison county for many years, died Wednesday, Jan. 21, at the home of her son, Ray Dickson, in Redwood City, Calif. She was 87 years of age.
Mrs. Barrow had been living in Winterset, when she moved to California in September 1951, with her daughter, Mrs. Rose Shellenberger.
Mrs. Barrow was born and spent the early years of her life in South township. She was a member of the Methodist church for 60 years and was affiliated with the Daughters of Union Veterans.
She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Anna Spieser and Mrs. Mary Harris of Paradise, Calif., and Mrs. Shellenberger of Long Beach; the son, Ray V. Dixon of Redwood City, Calif.; and a sister, Mrs. Jennie Ewick of Winterset. She also leaves nine grandchildren.
Funeral services were held last Friday at Redwood City and burial was made in Alta Mesa Memorial park.
