E. M. ARMBREST OF WINTERSET DIES

Death Occurred Thursday at Memorial Hospital at Age of 81 Years

Eli M. Armbrest, a life-long resident of Madison county, and a member of a well-known family here, died at the Madison county Memorial hospital Thursday, July 30. He was 81 years of age and had been in failing health for many years.

Mr. Armbrest was born in Madison county April 15, 1872, and spent his life here with the exception of two years in Kansas. He was a son of Casper and Marietta Armbrest. In 1897 he was married to Loretta Cateron who survives him.

He was engaged in the shoe repair business in Winterset for 30 years.

In addition to his wife, he leaves a daughter, Mrs. Wyona Broadmarkle of Des Moines; two grandchildren; three great grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Rose Burd of Winterset and Mrs. Neil Roberts of Des Moines; and a brother, Sol Armbrest of Powerite, Mo. A son, Charles, preceded him in death.

Funeral services were held Saturday from the Richards Funeral home, conducted by the Rev. Warren Hile, pastor of the Winterset Church of Christ. Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.
