FUNERAL HELD FOR MRS. WARNOCK, 55

Services Held Sunday For Life-Long Macksburg Resident

Funeral services for Mrs. Ray Warnock were held Sunday afternoon, May 15, from the Macksburg Methodist church.

Mrs. Warnock died May 13 at University hospital in Iowa City, after a short illness. She was 55 years of age.

Doris Mabel Craven was born near Macksburg on Aug. 21, 1899, the daughter of Frank and Emma Craven. Her entire life was spent in and around the Macksburg community, where she taught school for several years.

In recent years, Mrs. Warnock had served as the Madisonian correspondent for Macksburg.

She was married in 1921 to George B. Shinn, who died on Feb. 14, 1933. To this union were born three sons, Robert Paul, who died in infancy; Jack of Des Moines and Jerry of Winterset.

She was married Aug. 22, 1942 to Ray Warnock.

Surviving are her husband, two sons, a step-son, Richard of Des Moines, her mother, Mrs. Emma Craven of Macksburg; two sisters, Mrs. George Frederick of Las Vegas, Nev., and Mrs. Helen Jones of Kenai, Alaska; two brothers, Paul Craven of Monroe, Iowa and Frank Craven of Winterset; and four grandchildren.

Officiating at the funeral Sunday was the Rev. C. M. Rowe, pastor of the Macksburg Methodist church. Burial was in Moon cemetery south of Macksburg.
