96-YEAR OLD RESIDENT DIES

Mrs. Clark Wilson Had Lived In Winterset Since 1921

Mrs. Clark Wilson, one of Madison county's oldest residents, died this Tuesday, June 21, at a Winterset nursing home. She was 96 years of age.

Mrs. Wilson was a native of Keokuk county, where she was born Nov. 29, 1858. She was the former Ida Mary Hall, daughter of Abe and Louisa Hall.

Her early life was spent in Keokuk county, and she was married there on Sept. 19, 1876 to Clark Wilson. They came to Madison county where they farmed for many years, moving into Winterset in 1921. Mr. Wilson died in 1927.

She was a member of the Methodist church here.

Mrs. Wilson was the mother of 11 children, but three preceded her in death. Surviving are Ray Wilson of Winterset, Rollie Wilson of Long Beach, Calif., Mrs. Jessie Brady of Winterset, Roy Wilson of Belle Fourche, S. Dak., Mrs.Grace Fuson of Nampa, Ida., Mrs. Ethel Kingery of Kimball, S. Dak., Eldon Wilson of Winterset and Mrs. Lorena Tidrick of Winterset.

Funeral services will be held this Thursday at 2 p.m. from the Anderson home for funerals in Winterset, conducted by the Rev. W. W. Steinmetz, pastor of the First Methodist church. Burial will be made in the Winterset cemetery.
