WINTERSET RITES FOR GARVIN MILLS

Former Resident Here Died Saturday in Yuma Arizona

Garvin Mills, a former Madison county resident, died Saturday, Dec. 31, at a hospital in Yuma, Ariz., after several months of failing health. He was 65 years of age.

Mr. Mills was a native of Rolfe, Ia., where he was born July 17, 1890, a son of Ephriam and Martha Mills. He came to Madison county with his parents when he was 18-months-old and lived here for many years. He was a veteran of the first World War.

He was married in 1938 to Hazel Bowers of Osgood, who survives him. He also leaves two sisters, Mrs. Clara Penn of Winterset and Mrs. Lula Holmes of Sacramento, Calif.

Funeral services will be held this Friday from the Richards Funeral home in Winterset, conducted by the Rev. Warren Hile, pastor of the Winterset Christian church. Burial will be made in the Winterset cemetery.
