Months of Failing Health Culminate in Death of Winterset Resident
Mrs. Fred Miller of Winterset died at the Madison county Memorial hospital here Sunday, July 31, after an extended period of failing health. She was 63 years of age.
Mrs. Miller had been in declining health since last October when she first entered the hospital for treatment of injuries sustained in a fall. This April she was stricken with pneumonia, from which she recovered, but had been a patient at the hospital for extended intervals since that time.
Mrs. Miller was a life-long resident of Madison county. She was the former Nora Cline, daughter of David and Mary Cline and was born near Winterset on Jan. 18, 1892. Much of her life was spent in Douglas township.
She was married Oct. 1, 1919 to Fred Miller. For the last 20 years, they have made their home in Winterset. Mr. Miller has served as Madison county treasurer for many years.
Surviving are her husband of Winterset; a brother, John E. Cline of Winterset; and a sister-in-law, Mrs. Jennie Cline of Des Moines.
Funeral services were conducted Tuesday from the Ramsey-Richards Funeral home here in charge of the Rev. Warren Hile, pastor of the Winterset Christian church. Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.
