FUNERAL SATURDAY FOR LORA LEECH

Mrs. Lora Leech, well known Winterset resident, died at the Madison county Memorial hospital in Winterset, August 24th after a short illness. Mrs. Leech who was 78 years of age, had made her home in Winterset since 1905.

Anna Lora Leech, daughter of Jacob and Margaret Ann Myers was born in Lucas, Iowa on June 8, 1877.

In 1900 she was married to Benoni Leech and they became the parents of two sons, Glenn Robert and Kenneth M. Leech.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and son Glenn Robert.

Surviving are; her son, Kenneth M. Leech of Columbus, Indiana; two grandchildren, Robert and Linda Leech; two sisters, Mrs. William Leonard of Wauwautosa, Wisc.; and Louise Myers of Marshalltown, Iowa; and two brothers, Fred Myers of Wauwautosa, Wisc., and Herbert Myers of Los Angeles, Calif.

Mrs. Leech was a past noble Grand of the Rebecca Lodge and she was also Mistress of Records and Correspondence of the Pythian Sisters. She joined the Methodist church at the age of 13 and later became a member of the Presbyterian church in Winterset, where she was a member at the time of her death.

Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon, Aug. 27, from the Anderson Home for Funerals. Burial was in the Winterset cemetery.
