We clip the following particulars in regard to the death of one of our citizens, from the Des Moines Republican: “A man named James Harris, residing at Winterset, took a street car and rode over to the East Side about 8 o’clock this morning. Leaving the car at the foot of Capitol Hill, on Walnut street, he started up the hill toward the Capitol, and when but a short distance from the car he commenced coughing, which produced hemorrhage of the lungs, causing death almost instantly. He bled very profusely. Dr. Shaw, near whose residence he fell, ran to his relief and cared for him.
He was apparently between forty-five and fifty years of age, and somewhat emaciated from delicate health."
His remains were brought to this city last Saturday evening, and where followed to their last resting place last Sabbath afternoon.
