Pg 8Sudden Death of Walter Stewart
Walter Stewart, a son of Robert Stewart of Jackson township, died very suddenly on last Sunday. He had complained of chills in the early part of the day and called a physician who pronounced his ailment neuralgia of the heart. He was about the house all day not feeling ill enough to take to his bed and in the evening he left the house for a few minutes and on returning sat down near the stove to warm. Mrs. Stewart, who was in the room heard him groan and when she reached his side he was dying. Funeral services were held from Early Chapel church Tuesday and the remains interred at Penn Center cemetery.

Walter Stewart Dropped Dead at His Home in Jackson Township Sunday Afternoon
Last Sunday afternoon at about 2 p.m. Walter Stewart, son of Robt. Steard of Jackson township fell from his chair dead. He had been to town Saturday apparently in good health and went home and did his usual work about the farm. On Sunday he was up and around, looking after the chores. After dinner he went out on the south porch of the house and remained sometime. On coming in he sat down in a chair by the fire. In a few moments he fell from his chair and was caught by his mother who happened to be near him, and he expired almost instantly. The coroner was called and a post mortem was held. Dr. Bush of Pitzer called and pronounced neuralgia of the heart. The funeral was held at Early Chapel at 2 p.m. Tuesday after which his remains were laid to rest in Penn Center cemetery.
