B. A. WHITE DIES

Benjamin A. White, former Madison county resident, died Tuesday July 15th, at the Prather nursing home in Des Moines after a two year illness.

Mr. White, who was 72 years of age, came to this county with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. E. N. White, when he was a boy. They located on a farm near Buffalo. In 1898 he was married to Miss Lily Huddleston and he was a farmer in this community for a number of years. In 1921 they moved to Clive where he has since made his home.

Survivors include his two sons, Earl White of Clive and Embree White of Oakville; a daughter, Mrs. Dess Powers of Des Moines, florist, a sister Mrs. Alice Ikerd of Des Moines; two brothers, Frank White of Winterset and Prentiss White of Chico, California. His wife died in August 1940.

Funeral services were held last Thursday at 2 o'clock at the E. Carl White funeral home in Des Moines and burial was made at Glendale.
