E. M. Rippey, of Lincoln township, the postmaster of Ord, died last Tuesday. He had been ill with
consumption for several months, and although he appeared to be better a short time ago, it was only a prelude to death.Mr. Rippey was a bright young man of about twenty-five years of age. The funeral was held yesterday, the remains being buried at the Winterset cemetery.

E. M. Rippey, the postmaster at Ord, was buried in the Winterset cemetery last Thursday of consumption. He was a young man 24 years old, of good character and generally respected in the community in which he lived. Last January he was married to Miss Hattie Averill, who survives him. The funeral procession which followed him to his last resting place was the largest one we have noticed in Winterset for some time.
