ETTA FRINK, California

Etta Frink, 78, of Yuba City, Calif., died July 1, 2007, at her home.

Memorial services were held Saturday, July 7, at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to St. Andrew’s Church.

Etta Frink was born Feb. 12, 1929, to Ernest and Georgia (Hunt) Mueller of rural Van Meter. She attended a one-room schoolhouse through grade school and lived in a rented room to attend high school in Winterset. Etta continued her education at the University of Iowa, graduating Phi Betta Kappa in 1950. She had been a resident of Yuba City since 1964. She was an elder at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, a charter member of Rancho Cortez Swim and Racquet Club, activities director at the Yuba City Racquet Club for many years, and an active member of the American Association of University Women, Sutter County Garden Club and Literary Guild. She also organized and led numerous tours for Yuba College and St. Andrews.

She is survived by six children — Spencer Frink of Saratoga, Calif., Douglas Frink of Rocklin, Calif., Nelson Frink of Sutter, Calif., William Frink of San Ramon, Calif., Susan Swezy of Fairfax, Calif., and Julia Frink of San Francisco, Calif.; and 10 grandchildren.

Arrangements were handled by Ullrey Funeral Home.
