MICHAEL WIEMANN, Winterset

Michael Wiemann, 58, of Winterset died July 8, 2007, at Madison County Memorial Hospital in Winterset.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 12, at Collins Oak Park Chapel in Winterset with the Rev. Bob Epperson officiating. Visitation will be from noon to 8 p.m. today (Wednesday, June 11), with the family receiving friends from 6–8 p.m. Burial will be at Winterset Cemetery.

Mike Wiemann was born Sept. 21, 1948, in Carroll to Jack and Marie (Wulf) Wiemann and was a 1966 graduate of Exira High School. His additional education included a master’s degree in business administration from Iowa State University. His marriage to Nancy Berry took place June 20, 1970, in Des Moines. A resident of Winterset for the past 15 years, Mike was employed by the Department of Natural Resources for the state of Iowa, working in the water quality area. He was a member of the Master Gardeners.

He was preceded in death by his parents; an infant daughter, Jennifer Marie Wiemann; and an infant brother, Joseph Wiemann.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy, of Winterset; two sons, Jeffrey Wiemann of Everly and Gregory Wiemann of Honolulu, Hawaii; two brothers, Thomas Wiemann of Exira and Phillip Wiemann of Coralville; a sister, Mary Jo Wiemann of Coralville; and six grandchildren.
