Winterset, IowaMILLS INFANT DIES AT AGE OF 11 DAYS
Graveside services were conducted at the Winterset cemetery this morning for James William Mills, 11-day-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Bill Mills, former Winterset residents, who now reside at 4621 Euclid in Des Moines. The Rev. Byron Haines of the Worthington church had the final rites for the infant.
The baby boy was born at the Iowa Methodist hospital in Des Moines Aug. 11, and while it was known he had a bad heart condition, he was taken home. He became seriously ill Monday afternoon, and was taken to the hospital again, where he died shortly afterwards.
He leaves his parents, a sister, Linda, aged 7, his grandparents, Guy Moore and Mr. and Mrs. Ray Mills, and a great grandmother, Mrs. Lora Mills of Winterset.
