MRS. W. A. MORRISON DIED LAST THURSDAY

Mrs. William A. Morrison, wife of one of the men employed on the new gas line construction in Winterset, died at the Iowa Lutheran hospital in Des Moines last Thursday, June 30. She was 38 years of age.

Mrs. Morrison and her husband had been living in Winterset for about two weeks. She became seriously ill early last week and was taken to the Des Moines hospital for observation. She was under examination to seek the nature of her illness when she died suddenly.

Mrs. Morrison's home was in Tulsa, Okla.

Mrs. William A. Morrison, 38, of Tulsa, Okla., died Thursday at Iowa Lutheran Hospital.

Following an autopsy, Mrs. Morrison's physician reported the cause of death as a head injury, suffered about two weeks ago when she struck her head against the steering wheel of an auto after a sudden stop.

The former Lois Priestley, Mrs. Morrison had been residing temporarily the past four weeks in Winterset, where her husband, operator of a pipeline company, was engaged in business. Born in Arkansas, she formerly resided in Moab, Utah. She and her husband had been married only two months. She was a member of the Methodist Church.

Surviving in addition to her husband are her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank M. Priestley of Mc Allen, Tex.; a sister, Mrs. Joyce Hartsorne [Hartshorn] of Moab; and three brothers, James Priestley of Moab, William of Seattle, Wash., and Wayne of Yuma, Ariz.

Services and burial will be in McAllen.

Mrs. Lois Priestly Morrison of McAllen died in Redfield, Iowa, Thursday.

She was temporarily in Iowa when taken ill.

A native of Arkansas, Mrs. Morrison came to McAllen in 1936 with her parents. She graduated McAllen High School and worked for Southwestern Bell Telephone Co. here before going to Utah. She was married in Utah. The Morrisons were temporarily in Iowa when she became ill.

Survivors include her husband, Bill Morrison: her parents, Mr. and Mrs. F. M. Priestly of McAllen; a sister. Mrs. W. F. Hartshorn Jr. of Moab, Utah; three brothers. Bill Priestly of Seattle, Wash., Wayne Priestly of Yuma, Ariz. and Jim Priestly of Los Angeles, Calif.

Funeral services will be at Kreidler-Pride chapel in McAllen at 9 a. m. Monday with Dr. W. E. Clark, pastor of the First Methodist Church, officiating.

Burial will be In Roselawn Cemetery. Pallbearers will Include Paul Hallock, Glenn Loomes, Donald Hartshorn, Clyde Johnson, Don Simpson and Brad Hartshorn.
