MRS. JOSEPH TILLEY OF NEAR CHURDAN DIES

Mrs. Joseph W. Tilley, a former resident of Madison county, died at her home in Greene county on Feb. 7, according to word received here this week. She was 64 years of age.

Mrs. Tilley was born in Illinois, Aug. 10, 1890, and moved with her parents to Missouri. She was married in Missouri in 1911 to Joseph W. Tilley. They were parents of nine children.

Mr. and Mrs. Tilley moved to Iowa in 1917, and the remainder of her life was spent in Greene county, with the exception of three years in Madison county.

She is survived by her husband; four sons, William of Farnhamville, Earl of Greenbrier, Ark., and Virgil and Raymond of Churdan; two daughters, Berniece and Freda of Churdan; five grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Ruby Wesby of Sheldon, Mo.

Funeral services were held Feb. 10 from the Churdan Methodist church, and burial was made in Highland township cemetery in Greene county.
