MRS. EDITH THURMAN DIED ON WEDNESDAY

Funeral Services Will Be Held in Winterset This Friday

Mrs. Edith B. Thurman, a long-time resident of Winterset, died this Wednesday morning, Dec. 21, in Des Moines, where she had been making her home with her daughters in recent years.

Mrs. Thurman was 77 years of age and was a native of Sigourney. She was a widow of the late Fred Thurman, who operated a barber shop in Winterset for many years. Mr. Thurman preceded her in death.

Her survivors include five daughters. They are: Mrs. A. D. Grant and Mrs. Joe Spurling of Des Moines, and Mrs. Earl Dean, Mrs. F. D. Sprinkle, and Mrs. Stanley Krell.

Funeral services will be held from the Richards Funeral home in Winterset this Friday at 1:30 p.m. in charge of the Rev. Warren Hile, pastor of the Winterset Christian church. Burial will be made in the Winterset cemetery.
