Wednesday, June 15, 1955MRS. OLLIE SEEVERS BURIED AT WINTERSET
Mrs. Ollie B. Seevers, a native of Douglas township in Madison county, died Sunday, June 5, at Moline, Ill. She was 91 years of age, and had been ill for the past five months.
Mrs. Seevers was born here April 10, 1864, a daughter of John and Margaret Schaffer Leach. She was married Jan. 17, 1884, to Manford Seevers, whose death occurred in 1931.
They lived all their married life in Jackson township, with the exception of four years, two spent in Decatur county.
She had been a member of the West Star Methodist church over 50 years, and was a charter member of the Women's society there.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Virgie McCorkle of Winterset and Mrs. Aletha Peterson of Moline; four grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Ella Garrett of Fremont, Nebr.
Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon, June 8 from the West Star church, conducted by the Rev. Byron Haines. Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.
