C. B. HARRISON DIED ON SUNDAY

Winterset Resident Last 23 Years, Was 88 Years of Age

C. B. Harrison, a retired farmer living at Winterset for the last 23 years, died at his home here Sunday, June 19. He was 88 years of age, and had been ill the last 13 months.

Mr. Harrison was born in Johnson county April 21, 1867, a son of James and Martha Harrison. He was married in Winterset December 25, 1889, to Florence Mapes who survives him.

He farmed in Adair county for many years, before coming to Winterset 23 years ago.

In addition to his wife, he leaves nine children, Edith, at home, Mrs. Flossie Davis of Des Moines, Archie of Creston, George of Marshalltown, Ray of Moravia, Mrs. Fern Plymesser of Greenfield, Mrs. Helen Johnston of Dexter, Mrs. Ivo Lane of Orient and Mrs. Lela Herrick of Dexter.

Funeral services will be held this Thursday at 2 p.m. from the First Baptist church, conducted by the Rev. Edwin S. Marston. Burial will be made in the Winterset cemetery.
