Helen O. Roberts, 92, of Winterset, died of respiratory failure Dec. 26, 2001 at Madison County Memorial Hospital in Winterset.
No services are planned. Burial of the cremains will take place at Memory Cemetery in New Market at a later date.
Helen Roberts was born Oct. 20, 1909 in Marion County to Nellie Sheets. She was educated in the Des Moines School District. On Dec. 24, 1940 she married Harry Roberts in Des Moines. Following their marriage, they resided in New Market. Following Mr. Roberts' death in 1957, Helen moved to Clarinda where she lived until moving to Winterset in 1992. She had worked at the Clarinda Community Hospital on the x-ray department floor for 20 years before retiring.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two sisters and two brothers.
She is survived by several nieces and nephews, including nephew, Art Blaschke (wife Marian) of Winterset.
