Death of Clara Brooker Petty

Mrs. Clara Brooker Petty, a former Madison county resident, died Friday morning, March 10th at her home in Valley Junction. Mrs. Petty who was 58 years of age was born in this county, July 28, 1883, and was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Brooker. In 1917 she was married to William Petty, and they moved to Valley Junction where she has since resided.

Surviving her are her husband and three sisters, Mrs. Henry Iiams of St. Charles, Mrs. Ira Trindle of Winterset and Mrs. Otto Cole of Des Moines. Funeral services were held at the Methodist church in Valley Junction, Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock and burial was made in the cemetery there.

Burial services for Mrs. Clara Brooker Petty who passed away at her home in Valley Junction, were held Sunday afternoon at the Earlham cemetery. Mrs. Petty a number of years ago was a resident of this community.
