Johannes Samuel Blackburn, 45, of rural Adel died June 30, 2007, at his home.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, July 3, at Kuhn Funeral Home in Dexter with Pastor Kirk Seagren officiating. A private interment of the cremains was at Morrisburg Cemetery in rural Stuart.
Johannes Blackburn was born March 7, 1962, to Howard Nelson and Emma (Schlenkar) Blackburn of Redfield. He was a 1980 graduate of Redfield High School and attended the auto mechanics program at DMACC in Ankeny. Johannes worked at the Waukee Country Club during high school and briefly worked at the Oscar Meyer pork plant in Perry before becoming disabled.
He was preceded in death by his father, Howard.
He is survived by his mother, Emma, of Adel; one daughter, Heidi Blackburn of Winterset; and a grandson.
