Miss Flora Belle Sheldon, a resident of Winterset for 44 years, died at her home here last Saturday after an illness of two weeks. She was 60 years of age.

Miss Sheldon is known chiefly for the outstanding work she accomplished for the Methodist church here over a long period of years. She was born in Monroe township on July 3, 1879, the daughter of Marson and Crustana Sheldon. In 1896 the family moved to Winterset which was her home during the remainder of her life.
