Ashton Marie Goodenberger, 16, of Brownwood, Texas, died June 5, 2005 as the result of an automobile accident.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. today (Wednesday, June 8) at Christ Chapel Church in Brownwood with the Rev. Charlie Lackey officiating. Burial will follow at Lohn Cemetery in Lohn, Texas.

Ashton Goodenberger was born Feb. 16, 1989 in Oklahoma City, Okla. Formerly of Lohn, she had been a resident of Brownwood for a year. Ashton attended Brownwood High School and was a former hostess at Section Hand Steak House.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Roy Sullivan.

She is survived by her mother, Mary Ann Goodenberger of Brownwood; father and stepmother, Perry and Terri Goodenberger of Winterset; two brothers, Adam Moore and Ethan Durnell of Winterset; two sisters, Jordan Goodenberger of Brownwood and Emily Durnell of Winterset; maternal grandmother, Mary Sullivan of Temple, Texas; and paternal grandparents, Emory and Marian Goodenberger of Panora.

Funeral arrangements were handled by Netherton Funeral Home in Brownwood, Texas.
