Page 4Death of Mrs. H. Gaspari
Mrs. Harry Gaspari died Saturday night, September 21st at the Nicholas Senn hospital in Omaha, after a short illness. Mrs. Gaspari who was thirty-two years of age had been in poor health this summer, but only close friends knew of her illness. She was taken to Omaha last Tuesday and on Thursday a major operation was performed. Her condition continued to grow worse and she died about ten o'clock Saturday night.
The deceased is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bonifacio Tomasso and was born at Vineland, New Jersey, January 19, 1897. She became the bride of Harry Gaspari December 22, 1913.
Mrs. Gaspari was a member of the Royal Neighbor lodge.
Mr. Gaspari who is proprietor of the North Side cafe, came to Winterset from Des Moines in 1918 and Mrs. Gaspari and their daughter, Geraldine came shortly afterwards. Mrs. Gaspari was Miss Nettie Tomasso previous to her marriage fifteen years ago.
Mr. Gaspari and daughter, Geraldine, who is 12 years of age, survive Mrs. Gaspari. She also leaves a brother, Anthony Tomasso of Detroit, Michigan; two sister, Mrs. Anthony Cortoni and Mrs. Louis Miano of Philadelphia and her parents in New Jersey. A daughter, Lucile, died a number of years ago and is buried in Glendale cemetery in Des Moines.
Rev. Luke S. Plunkett conducted Requiem High Mass Wednesday morning September 25th and burial was in the Glendale Cemetery in Des Moines.
