Eva Dorrell, West Des Moines

Eva Jeanne Dorrell, 58, of West Des Moines died Jan. 7, 2001 of cancer at Mercy Hospital Medical Center in Des Moines.

A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 11 at St. Ambrose Cathedral in Des Moines. Visitation will be held after 5 p.m. today at Dunn's Funeral Home in Des Moines with the family present from 5-7 p.m.

Eva Dorrell was born Nov. 12, 1942 to Nicholas and Hazel (Gideon) Dorrell of Winterset. A resident of the Des Moines area for the past 38 years, she had been employed by Principal Financial Group Investments. Eva was a Hospice volunteer, a member of St. Ambrose Cathedral and was involved with the Animal Rescue League.

She is survived by a sister, Nadine Hain of Coralville.
