MRS. EFFIE DOUGLASS DIES AT EARLHAM

Mrs. Effie L. Douglass died April 10 at the home of her daughter Mrs. Frank McCauley of Earlham. She was 90 years of age.

Mrs. Douglass was the former Effie Griffiths, daughter of Nantageous and Harriett Griffiths. She was born Feb. 23, 1867 near Greenfield. On June 12, 1883, she was married to Theophilus Douglass. They were parents of four daughters and two sons.

Her husband preceded her in death. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. McCauley of Earlham, Mrs. William G. Ashline of Waukon; a son, Raynard Douglass of Greenfield; six grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Saturday from the Moffitt Funeral home at Mitchellville, conducted by the Rev. Warren Hile, pastor of the Winterset Christian church. Burial was made at Mitchellville.
