Beulah McLarnand Piatt, former Madison county resident, died at the University hospital at Iowa City Saturday, July 7th at the age of 56 years.
Mrs. Piatt was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. E. McLarnand, and was born Feb. 21, 1884 near Winterset. She attended the public schools of Madison county. At the age of 22 she was married to Charles Piatt of Winterset. They were the parents of seven sons, three of whom died in infancy. Her husband died Aug. 11, 1937.
She is survived by four sons, Bruce, Vern and Denver of Mt. Pleasant, and Mace Piatt of Fairfield, and two grandchildren. She also is survived by her mother, Mrs. J. E. McLarnand and two sisters, Mrs. Sylvia Griswold of Macksburg, and Mrs. Leila Fuson of Lorimor.
Funeral services were held at the Baptist church at Mt. Pleasant, Tuesday, July 9th, and burial was made in the Mt. Pleasant cemetery.
