Death Calls Mother of Six Small Children at Her Home Near Here
Mrs. Albert Kordick of Walnut township, 38-year-old mother of six small children, died at her farm home Monday after a long illness.
Mrs. Kordick was a native of Kansas, and was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Bindel. She was married to Albert Kordick at Mercier, Kan., on Aug. 28, 1929. They started housekeeping on a farm in Scott township where they lived until moving to Walnut township last year.
Mrs. Kordick is survived by her husband and the six children, the eldest of whom is 10 years old, and the youngest a baby of four months. In addition she leaves her father, who has been making his home here, and 10 brothers and sisters. They are: Mrs. John Wiedman, and Dave, Leonard, Walter, and Leo Bindel, all of Winterset, Mrs. Frank Hill of Colony, Kan., George Bindel of Willis, Kan., Mrs. Mike Gaa of Parnell, Mo., and Mrs. Adam Zzierski and Mrs. David Schubert of St. Joseph, Mo.
Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. this Thursday from St. Joseph's Catholic church in Winterset, with requiem mass in charge of the pastor, the Rev. William Hahessy.
(Burial was made in St. Mary's cemetery, Bridgewater, Iowa.)
