Death of Hamilton Infant

Helen Bernice Hamilton, 8 month old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clifton Hamilton of Jackson township, died last Thursday following a brief illness of pneumonia.

The child is survived by its father, mother, one brother, and three sisters.

Funeral services were held at the West Star church last Friday in charge of the Rev. A. R. Weed. Burial was at Winterset.

Services Held Friday for Helen Bernice, Daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clifton Hamilton.

Helen Bernice, infant daughter of Clifton and Margaret Hamilton was born August 1933 and after a brief illness with that dread disease pneumonia, the spirit of baby Helen winged its way to its eternal home in the early morning hours of April 12, 1934.

Not in cruelty, not in wrath,
The Reaper came that day
Twas an angel that visited the green earth
And took the flower away.

While her stay with us was brief – only about eight months, yet who but those who have passed through a similar experience can know the loneliness and heartache that her going brings to us.

The empty crib – the little dresses folded up – the playthings laid away, and the well-remembered sweet little smile wrings from us the bitterest tears.

Funeral services were held Friday at West Star Church, conducted by Rev. A. R. Weed. Burial was at Winterset.
