Page 1Death of Robert Amos Logan
Robert Amos Logan, son of Amos and Mary Jarrett Logan, was born in Lee county, Iowa, September 9, 1858 and departed this life Sunday morning June 16, at the age of 70 years.
Mr. Logan, his wife and only son, Ernest came to Madison county in 1896, where they had since resided. Two years ago Mr. Logan moved to Winterset, and here it was that his wife passed away on April 13, 1928. Since then he has made his home with his son and a grandson, Donahue Logan, on a farm, in Scott township.
His parents were active workers in the Presbyterian church and when Robert was quite young he united with the home church. A little over a year ago, he united with the First Baptist church of Winterset and died trusting his Saviour.
He leaves besides his son, four grandchildren; one brother S. L. Logan of Freeborn, Minnesota and other relatives and many friends. Funeral services were conducted Wednesday from Tidrick's funeral home at 2 o'clock the Rev. John T. Hall officiating. Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.
