Mrs. Jane Church, a sister of Andrew Shaffer and an aunt of Mrs. Jim Williams, Mrs. M. E. Seevers and Mrs. R. V. Garrett all of this county, died Friday, January 17th at the University hospital at Enid, Oklahoma. Mrs. Church was a former resident of this county and was 94 years of age at the time of her death. She and her husband, Seymour Church left Madison county over 30 years ago.
She was born in Indiana, August 11, 1835. her husband died in 1902. Six sons survive her; Calvin of Bennett, Nebraska; Cash Richmond of Doniphan, Nebraska; Henry of Selling, Oklahoma; Granville of Carlmen, Oklahoma; Harry of Branson, Colorado and Charles of Hillsdale, Oklahoma. Mrs. Church had made her home with the latter son during the past eleven years. Besides her sons she leaves 46 grandchildren; 66 great grandchildren; and several great great grandchildren. One son and two daughters have preceded her in death.
Rev. Snodgrass of the Central Christian church at Enid, had charge of the services and she was buried in the Enid cemetery.

Mrs. Mary Jane Church, the widow of Seymour Church, died January 17 at the University hospital in Enid, Oklahoma, at the age of 94.
She was the sister of A. J. Shaffer, of Douglas township and had lived out of the state for over 30 years. Two sisters, Mrs. Emily Foglesong, of Stuart; and Mrs. Eliza Foglesong, of Sioux City, are the only members of her won family, in addition to her brother, who are now living.
Funeral services were held at Enid, Oklahoma, conducted by the Rev. Snodgrass of the Christian church. An obituary clipped from an Oklahoma paper is printed on another page.

Grandma Church was born in Indiana August 11, 1835 and peacefully passed away January 17, 1930, in the University hospital at Enid, Oklahoma, at the age of 94 years, 5 months and 6 days.
She was laid to rest in the Enid cemetery, Rev. Snodgrass of the Central Christian church in charge.
Surviving her are six sons, Calvin of Bennett, Nebraska; Cash Richmond of Doniphan, Nebraska; Henry of Selling, Oklahoma; Grantville of Carmen, Oklahoma; Harry of Branson, Colorado, and Charles of Hillsdale with whom she had made her home the past eleven years. Besides the sons there are 46 grandchildren, 66 great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren.
Her husband preceded her in 1901. One son and two daughters also preceded her several years ago.
She united with the Christian church in early girlhood and always lived a true Christian life, always associating with the church of the community in which she lived regardless of denomination. Of late years she had to be content with services over the radio.
All that medical aid and loving hands could do were done to make her last days easy and comfortable. The remains were cared for at the Brown funeral home from which place the services were held.
