Death of Mrs. Isaac McBride

Mr. and Mrs. Gaylord Dabney received word, Tuesday night of the death of their daughter, Mrs. Isaac McBride at a hospital in El Centro, California. Mrs. McBride, who was the former Miss Grace Dabney was 32 years of age. Her parents and relatives here did not know that she had been ill until Saturday night, a telephone message stated that she had been operated upon and that her condition was critical. She died about 8:30 the night of December 23rd.

Mrs. McBride was raised in this county and after attending the rural schools of Douglas township attended the Winterset high school. She was married to Isaac McBride, a son of Mr. and Mrs. B. F. McBride of Madison township, February 27, 1920. About five years ago, they moved to California and have resided at Holtville, which is only seven miles from El Centro.

She leaves her husband and three children, Mildred, 9, Earl 8, and Louise 5. She also leaves her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Gaylord Dabney; two brothers and five sisters; Charles and Miss Vera at home; Mrs. Montgomery Bruce, Mrs. Harry Vincent and Miss Alice of Chicago and Mrs. Warren Gregory of Pittsburg, Pennsylvania and John Dabney of Redwood Bluffs, California. A brother Richard died several years ago.

Funeral services are being held at El Centro, Friday afternoon, December 26th and burial will be made there.
