Word was received here last week of the death of Cathryne Hartley twelve year old daughter, of Mr. and Mrs. Tom Hartley of Avalon, Missouri. E. D. Hartley, John Hartley and Misses Agnes and Katie Hartley went to Avalon, Missouri to attend the funeral services which were held Friday, March 22nd.
Death was caused by pneumonia which followed an attack of measles. She is survived by her parents; a sister Marguerite; and a brother George Edward. Mr. and Mrs. Hartley were former residents of Winterset leaving here about 12 years ago.
