St. Charles--(Special)--Jan. 9.-
Mrs. Alice Bishop, 72, died Jan. 1 at a nursing home in Osceola where she had been cared for the past two years, although she had been an invalid for a number of years before going to the home. She was the widow of the late A. H. Bishop and had lived almost all her life near St. Charles.
She is survived by six children, Walter of Seattle, Wash., Mrs. Velva Attig of Illinois, Mrs. Brady Wolff of Kansas, Mrs. Rachel Miller of St. Charles, Mrs. Dorothy Heinrich of Collins and Burdeen Bishop of Osceola. A number of grandchildren and severl brothers and sisters.
Rev. Smith conducted her funeral services at the Methodist church Wednesday afternoon and burial was made in the St. Charles cemetery.

Mrs. Alice J. Bishop, widow of the late A. H. Bishop of South township, died in Osceola Monday afternoon, Jan. 1. Mrs. Bishop had been in failing health for several years and had been living with her children until a few years ago when she entered the home for the aged in Osceola.
Mrs. Bishop was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George W. Haynes, early settlers of South township. She was married to A. H. Bishop who preceded her in death on April 17, 1913.
She is survived by two sons: Walter of Seattle, Washington, and Berdeen of Osceola; four daughters, Mrs. Fred Attig of Murfreesboro, Illinois; Mrs. Russell Wolfe of Jennings, Kansas; Mrs. Alva E. Miller of St. Charles, and Mrs. Arlo Heinrich of Maxwell; also two brothers, John Haynes of St. Charles and Charles Haynes; four sisters, Mrs. Pearl Crawford and Mrs. Page Durham of Truro; Mrs. Lee Corn of Patterson; and Mrs. Anna Payne of Cumming.
Funeral services were held in the Methodist church in St. Charles where she was a member, conducted by the Rev. L. L. Smith. Burial was made in the St. Charles cemetery.
