Funeral Rites Were Held on Wednesday in Charge of Rev. C. E. Courtney
Claude M. Young, son of Mr. and Mrs. Grant Young of near Winterset, died Monday evening at the age of 50 years, after a long illness.
Mr. Young was a native of Illinois where he was born at Saunemin on August 23, 1891. He came to Iowa with his parents in 1902 and since that time he had spent most of his life on their farm near Winterset, with the exception of several years at Newell and one year in Kansas.
He was not married and his only near surviving relatives are his parents.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday from the Ramsey-Richards funeral home in Winterset, in charge of the Rev. C. E. Courtney, pastor of the United Presbyterian church here. Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.
