Mrs. Wyncoop was a native of Illinois, where she was born Feb. 22, 1877, at Hayworth in McLean county. She was the eldest daughter of Corydon and Emily Ellsworth McComb. In 1905 the family moved to a farm near Winterset.
She was married here on Jan. 4, 1911, to Zenis A. Wynkoop. They started their home in Tripp county, South Dakota. In recent years their home had been in Madison county.
Mrs. Wynkoop was the mother of four children, all of whom survive. They are Mrs. Paul Mark, and Avory, Kenneth and Roberta Wynkoop, all of this county. She also leaves her husband; a sister, Mrs. Loren Eyerly; and a brother, Lynn McComb of Winterset.
In early life, she had joined the Presbyterian church at Mt. Carmel, Ill. After moving to the Fairview neighborhood she united with the Fairview Methodist church.
