Former Winterset Dentist Succumbs at 52 Years
Dr. Clyde L. Niblo, once a prominent Winterset dentist, died Wednesday, Sept. 15 in Dubuque, where he had lived since 1924, it was learned here this week. He was 52 years of age, and died at a Dubuque hospital following a short illness.
Doctor Niblo was born in Winterset on Dec. 17, 1890, the son of William and Anna Niblo. His father was a member of the firm of Niblo and Herring, which operated the drug store now know as Montross Pharmacy.
He graduated from the Winterset schools, attended the State University of Iowa and was graduated from the Dental college at Drake university in Des Moines. He was married to Miss Elsie Orris of Winterset, and they made their home here for several years. Since 1924 he had practiced his profession in Dubuque.
He is survived by his wife; two daughters, Helen Niblo of Clinton and Mrs. C. D. Hinckner of Dubuque; his mother, Mrs. Anna Niblo of Vinton; and a brother, Raymond Niblo of Des Moines. His father and another brother, Rollo Niblo, preceded him in death.
Funeral services were held at Dubuque on Sept. 17 and burial was made in the Lynnwood cemetery there.
