FORMER LORIMOR RESIDENT IS DEAD

Funeral and Burial of Mrs. Earnest Cashman Held There Saturday

Mrs. Earnest Cashman, former resident of the Lorimor community, died at a hospital in Galesburg, Ill., last Thursday. She was 64 years of age.

Mrs Cashman was a native of Switzerland, coming to this country with her parents when she was two years old. She was the former Anna Swoboda, daughter of Frank and Anna Swoboda and was born July 28, 1878. The family lived in New York for two years, and then located in Peoria, Ill., where she was reared. There she was married to Earnest Cashman on Dec. 23, 1896. They soon moved to Corning in this state and then to Lorimor where they lived for many years. The past 12 years of her life had been spent at Galesburg.

She is survived by her husband and five children, Everett Cashman of Lenox, Arthur Cashman of Indianola, Mrs. Sadie Davis of Lorimor, Orville Cashman of Lacona and Kenneth Cashman of Indianola. She also leaves a sister, Mrs. Florence Martin and a brother, Earnest Swoboda, both of Peoria, Ill.

Funeral services were held last Saturday from the Watts funeral home in Lorimor, in charge of Rev. L. F. Davis and the Rev. Tom Foglesong of Winterset. Burial was made in the Lorimor cemetery.
