LAST RITES HELD FOR BOYD PORTER

Former St. Charles Resident Died at Oakdale on Nov. 21

St. Charles-(Special)-Funeral services were held from the Methodist church here last Wednesday for Boyd E. Porter, former resident of this community, who died Nov. 21 at Oakdale. He was 52 years of age.

Mr. Porter was the son of Fletcher and Alberta (Dowler) Porter and was born in Madison county on June 26, 1891. He lived in and near St. Charles until three years ago when he moved to Gowrie.

He was married to Sadie Davis April 9, 1913 at Truro. They were the parents of two daughters, Mrs. Emile Collins and Mrs. Oren McFarland.

He had been a member of the Methodist church since youth.

Besides his wife and two daughters, he leaves two grandchildren; his father, Fletcher Porter of Truro; and three sisters, Mrs. O. R. Beeler of Truro, Mrs. Lyle Shutt of Davenport and Lucie Porter of Sioux City.

The funeral services were held in charge of the Rev. Worrell of Truro. Burial was made in the St. Charles cemetery.
