JOANNA CAMERON DIED LAST FRIDAY

Funeral Rites Were Held on Monday From Presbyterian Church Here

Miss Margaret Joanna Cameron, a well-known resident of this community for many years, died last Friday at her home in Winterset. She was 79 years of age.

Miss Cameron was born on a farm west of Winterset on Aug. 5, 1861. She was the daughter of William B. and Margaret Duff Cameron.

Although she had traveled widely, Miss Cameron always maintained residence in Winterset, and a few years ago built her home on West Filmore street, where her death occurred.

She was a long-time member of the United Presbyterian church, but a few years ago she transferred her membership to the Presbyterian church here.

She is survived by one niece, Mrs. Nellie Ham of near Winterset; three nephews, Arthur Cameron of Winterset, Walter Cameron of Cedar Rapids, and William Cameron of Kansas City, Mo.

Funeral services were held from the Presbyterian church Monday, in charge of the Rev. C. E. Courtney, pastor of the United Presbyterian church here. Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.

JOANNA CAMERON DIES SUDDENLY

Funeral Services Were Held Monday Afternoon At Presbyterian Church

Miss Margaret Joanna Cameron, a resident of Madison county her entire lifetime of 80 years, died suddenly Friday evening at her home on West Filmore street.

The daughter of William B. and Margaret Duff Cameron, she was born on a farm west of Winterset, Aug. 5, 1861. While Miss Cameron has traveled a great deal, yet she always maintained Winterset has her home and a few years ago built a modern home.

For many years Miss Cameron with her family was a member of the United Presbyterian church, but a few years ago she transferred her membership to the Presbyterian church of which she was a member at the time of her death.

She is survived by one niece, Nellie Cameron Ham of Winterset, who resides at the present time on the old family homestead, three nephews, Arthur McCord Cameron of Winterset; Walter James Cameron of Cedar Rapids; William Robert Cameron of Kansas City, Mo.; all children of her brother James Albert Cameron who died March 25, 1924. One brother J. E. Cameron died Feb. 20, 1894.

Funeral services were conducted at the Presbyterian church, Monday afternoon at two o’clock by the Rev. C. E. Courtney, pastor of the United Presbyterian church. Burial was made in the Winterset Cemetery. Pallbearers were Arthur Cameron, Walter Cameron, will Cameron, Fred Ham, Robert Cameron and Harold Ham.
