Winterset, IowaCURTIS B. McCOLLUM DIES
Curtis B. McCollum, former Winterset hardware merchant, died at the Broadlawns hospital in Des Moines Monday, Feb. 17th, after an extended illness. Mr. McCollum who was 68 years of age, had been in poor health for several years, and had been at the hospital for the past two weeks.
The McCollums formerly lived here, in the house that is now the Winterset hospital, and Mr. McCollum had a hardware store on the east side of the square. The family moved to Des Moines about 18 years ago, and have made their home there since then.
He is survived by his wife, and their son Herman. He also leaves two grandchildren, Jimmie and Sue McCollum of 1517 E. 12th street, Des Moines.
Funeral services are being held at the Hamilton home for funerals this afternoon at 3:30 p.m. and burial is to be in Missouri.
