DEATH CALLS MRS. FRANK MCNAMARA

Young Winterset Woman Died Sunday to End Long Illness

Mrs. Frank McNamara, young Winterset woman and the mother of two small sons, died at the Iowa Lutheran hospital in Des Moines Sunday after a lingering illness. She was 34 years of age and had been fatally ill for the past several years.

Mrs. McNamara was one of the most widely known and highly respected young women of this community. She was the former Mary Brown, daughter of Carl and Anna Brown, and was born near St. Charles on March 19, 1909. She attended grade school at Van Meter and Patterson, moving to Winterset with her parents in 1924.

She was a graduate of the Winterset high school with the class of 1928, and in 1932 she graduated in nursing from the Methodist hospital in Des Moines.

In 1934 she was married to Frank McNamara. They were the parents of two sons, Patrick Carl, aged 8 years and Nicholas James, aged 4 years.

She was a member of the Methodist church in Winterset.

In addition to her husband and two sons, she is survived by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Brown.

Funeral services were held Tuesday from the Ramsey-Richards Funeral home here, in charge of the Rev. Joseph Shaw, pastor of St.Joseph's Catholic church. Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.
