MRS. LAURA WASSON OF WINTERSET PASSES

Long-Time Resident Passed Sunday at Age of 88 Years

Mrs. Laura C. Wasson, one of Madison county's oldest residents died here Sunday at the age of 88 years.

Most of Mrs. Wasson's long life was spent in Madison county. She was a native of Pennsylvania, where she was born at Altoona on July 30, 1855, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Koon.

She was married to Edward E. Wasson in 1873. For many years they made their home on a farm just northwest of Winterset, in Douglas township. They were the parents of two sons, F. L. Wasson of Los Angeles, Calif., and G. J. Wasson of Winterset. Her husband died March 9, 1925.

She is survived by her two sons; two sisters; three grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held here Tuesday from Anderson's Funeral home, in charge of the Rev. L. F. Davis. Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.
