Died at Her Home at Age of 56 Years Wednesday of Last Week
Mrs. Elcy Bush, a resident of Winterset for many years, died at her home here on Wednesday of last week. She was 56 years of age.
Mrs. Bush was born at Bussey, Ia., on Nov. 1, 1886. She was the daughter of Stephen Douglas and Rachel Ada Jones. She was married Jan. 25, 1910 to Jesse Ellis Bush. They were the parents of two children, a son, Van Wray Bush and a daughter, Mrs. Hazel Gray, both of Winterset.
In addition to her husband and the two children, she leaves five grandchildren; and two brothers, Arthur Jones of Winterset and Amza Jones of Benson, Minn.
Funeral services were held last Friday from Ramsey-Richards funeral home in charge of the Rev. Tom Foglesong, pastor of the Winterset Church of Christ. Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.

Mrs. Elcy Bush died at her home in Winterset on Wednesday, May 19, at the age of 56 years. Funeral services were held at the Ramsey–Richards funeral home on Friday, May 21, with Rev. Tom Foglesong officiating. Pallbearers were Wilbur Rankin, Frank Rankin, Ervin Jones, Leslie Bush, Tom Bush and Harry Christensen. Mrs. E. M. Easter was the pianist and the music was furnished by the Church of Christ. Interment was made in the Winterset cemetery.
Elcy Bush, daughter of Stephen Douglas and Rachel Ada Jones, was born at Bussey, Iowa, on November 1, 1886. On January 25, 1910 she was united in marriage to Jesse Ellis Bush. To this union were born to children.
She joined the Church of Christ soon after she moved to Winterset, and attended faithfully until illness prevented.
She is survived by her husband, Jesse Ellis Bush, one son, Van Wray Bush of Winterset, one daughter, Mrs. Hazel Gray, of Winterset, five grandchildren, John Ellis Gray, Harry Levi Gray, Jr., Donald Ray Bush, Elsie Irene Bush, and Wyman Lee Bush; two brothers, Arthur Jones of Winterset, and Amza Jones of Benson, Mont., and a host of other relatives and friends.
