CHARLES E. PERKINS DIES

Mrs. F. A. Garretson received word Sunday evening of the death of her brother, Charles E. Perkins of Los Angeles, Cal. No particulars have yet been received but Mr. Perkins died at the age of 62 years, after a short illness.

The deceased was well known in Winterset. He was born here, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Perkins, and was graduated from the local high school. He also attended the State University of Iowa, and was associated here with the Henry Drug company. Twenty-five years ago he went to Billings, Mont., and then later to Los Angeles, where he has since resided.

He is survived by his wife, and their daughter Marcelline. He also leaves six sisters: Mrs. Garretson, and Mrs. Eva Minnick of Alberquerque, New Mexico who has been here the past ten days at the Garretson home; Mrs. Dwight Jones of Dodson, Mont.; Mrs. Alice Ridout of Spokane, Wash., Mrs. Loraine Schultz of R----, Wash.; and Mrs. Bessie Schaffert of Seattle, Wash.
