Funeral Services Held at Methodist Church With Shephard Presiding
St. Charles -(Special)--John H. Shutt, a life-long resident of this community, died here May 25 at the age of 62 years.
He was the son of Jefferson and Isabel Shutt, and was born in a log cabin on their home place near here on March 17, 1879. He was married to Frances McCrea of St. Charles on Feb. 18, 1903. They were the parents of a son and a daughter. The latter preceded her father in death in 1930.
He had been a member of the Church of Christ since 1915.
Mr. Shutt is survived by his wife; their son, two brothers; and three sisters.
Funeral services were conducted from the Methodist church in charge of the Rev. C. P. Shephard, pastor of the Church of Christ. Burial was made in the St. Charles cemetery.

John H. Shutt, 62, a native of Jackson township, Warren county, died at his home southeast of St. Marys last Sunday night after a lingering illness of several years.
Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at the Christian church in St. Charles with interment in the St. Charles cemetery. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Frances McCrea Shutt and one son Fon Shutt of St. Charles, also several brothers and
sisters and many relatives.

Funeral services for J. H. Shutt were held Wednesday afternoon at the Methodist church conducted by Rv. Shepard of the Christian church. He is survived by his wife and one son, Fon. Three sisters, Mrs. Louise Miller of St. Charles, Mrs. Mae Myers of Truro, and Mrs. Lilly McGarry of California, and two brothers, W. R. Shutt of near Norwalk, and Walter of St. Charles. His only daughter, Fern, preceded him in death in 1930. Burial was made in the St. Charles cemetery.

John Henry Shutt, son of Jefferson and Isabel Shutt, was born near St. Charles, in a log cabin on the old home place, March 17, 1879, and died on March 25, 1941, at the age of 62 years, 2 months and eight days.
John was married to Frances McCrea of St. Charles, February 18, 1903. To this union two children were born March 4, 1904, Fon and Fern. Fern preceded her father in death, November 1903.
He was a member of the Church of Christ, making his confession of faith in 1915.
His entire life was lived near St. Charles. He is survived by his wife and son, two brothers, three sisters, one aunt, many other relatives, good neighbors and a host of friends.
Funeral services were held at the Methodist church, the Rev. Clayton P. Shepard, conducting. Burial was made in the St. Charles cemetery.
